The Triangle Area:
The Triangle area offers the best of a dynamic urban
area, nestled among the best of North Carolina's scenic wonders. Raleigh-Durham has grown into a world-class center
for education, health care, and the arts, while avoiding the urban sprawl
common to coastal cities. The proximity to three major universities--Duke University in Durham, The
University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University at Raleigh--means there's
an abundance of the special cultural, sports, entertainment, and service
benefits found in a "college town". Excellent health care is available
at several area
hospitals.
Careers:
These Universities are also an integral part of the
success of Research Triangle Park, the largest research park in
the country. Many of the world's leaders in high-tech business have operations
here, including Glaxo Welcome, IBM, Lucent Technologies, SAS Institute,
Siemens, Midway Airlines, and more. There are amazing career opportunities
in dozens of booming fields.
Chapel Hill:
Minutes away from The Preserve is the city of Chapel Hill... famous for Franklin Street, home of
the Morehead Planetarium, UNC campus, and the many quaint shops, restaurants,
and movie theaters that give this university center its small-town feel.
Chapel Hill features regular arts & entertainment festivals, and
a short stroll will take you to the Carrboro area, which enjoys a growing
reputation as an artistic community, offering a wide range of unique
cultural excitement. Click here for upcoming
attractions or a calendar of events, or here for relocation information.
Recreation:
If you're considering The Preserve at Jordan
Lake for your home, chances are you love the outdoors and the
natural wonders unique to North Carolina. If so, you've found a wonderland
of outdoor activities. Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is a network of nine
parks, campgrounds, recreation areas and hiking trails, just minutes
from your door. Home to the rare bald eagle and noted for interpretive
educational programs, you might never run out of things to do and see.
There's all of the lakeside recreation you could desire, including boat
ramps, camp grounds, scenic overlooks, plus a
full service commercial marina. If you're seeking boating, camping,
fishing, swimming and glowing sunsets, you'll find it all here! Bicyclists,
joggers and walkers can enjoy the
American Tobacco Trail, a 22+ mile rails-to-trails project in the
area.

The Preserve at Jordan Lake is in beautiful Chatham County, which offers North Chatham
Elementary for kindergarten through the 8th grade, and Northwood High
School for 9th through 12th grade. Your children will benefit from
leading-edge facilities with excellent teachers and a tradition of educational
